| The medical staffs of Legacy Mount Hood Medical Center, Legacy Meridian Park Hospital, and the Legacy Portland Hospitals (including Legacy Emanuel and Legacy Good Samaritan) welcome you to the web sites they have developed in partnership with MedSpectrum, to deliver information, improve communication, and encourage feedback 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with members of the medical staff. Please see the additional information, below, for brief summaries of the services available and how to use them, and click the links at left to visit the medical staff(s) of which you are a member! Security and Logging In The information we provide to our medical staff members includes sensitive information, so you must receive permission to enter the site. Members of the Medical Staff can obtain permission to enter the Medical Staff Web Site by requesting a username and a password: visit your medical staff's web site by using the links at left. Click the "Request A Password" link on the left-side menu. Complete the required information, and submit your information by clicking the "Create my account..." button. You will receive an e-mail that your request for approval has been submitted. We will ensure that you are a medical staff member, then you will receive another e-mail when your request has been approved. After you receive approval, use your user name and password to enter the site by "Enter the Secure Site" from your medical staff web site's home page. |
Information Each Legacy Medical Staff web site provides information that you can use every day. There are current announcement and news from the medical staff, which often link to documents or surveys for more information about that news item. There's also a medical staff event calendar, and a system-wide CME calendar. You can even sign up for a electronic medical staff newsletter that is sent directly to your e-mail inbox. Medical Staff members can use our links page to navigate to popular health care sites your patients may be using, and some especially for providers; use the special search page to conduct clinical searches on-line from a number of sources. You can even view up-to-the-minute news from around the country and the world. |
Communication We give you opportunity to communicate with members of the medical staff at your convenience. At the site, you will find discussion groups (for more detailed information on using the discussion groups, click here) and surveys, as well as a complete medical staff roster. This roster allows you to contact other members of the medical staff directly and, when it is available, we have provided you their e-mail address in the roster. hen you register at the site (see above) we provide your e-mail address to your colleagues so they can contact you conveniently, too! |
Documents and Meetings The medical staff web sites provide secure, on-line documents, such as Bylaws and Rules, as well as draft documents, such as policies and background information, for you to review at your convenience. There are e-mail tools to securely transmit information from the medical staff office, and from physician to physician. There is even the ability to furnish meeting materials on-line, securely, for you to review in advance of your face-to-face meeting, and in some cases, the vote itself can be held on-line. |
